SANA’A: Sana’a International Airport Director, Khaled Al-Shayef, said that the United Nations promised in many agreements the opening of Sana’a International Airport. An Air Medical Bridge was agreed on and first flight was scheduled to start on October, 20th.
Al-Shayef told Almasirah TV on Saturday evening that the UN Humanitarian Coordinator cited the inability of Egyptian hospitals to be able to provide treatment. He added that the United Nations does not have credibility in the issue of lifting the ban on Sana’a International Airport.
The Director pointed out that the airport receives three flights a day belonging to the United Nations, and there is no validity for the lack of airport readiness.
It is noteworthy that it was scheduled to open the Sana’a International Airport for medical flights on Saturday, after it was postponed more than once. It is one of the crimes committed, by the US-Saudi aggression, against the Yemeni People since they prevent patients from traveling abroad for treatment.
