The popular messaging app for many around the globe will stop operating on Windows smartphones by the end of this month.
The bad news doesn’t end there. WhatsApp will stop working on several Android and iPhone devices in the coming months.
From February 1, those who are currently using Android versions 2.3.4 and older will, unfortunately, be unable to continue using the app.
Whereas those who own iPhones running on iOS 8 will also be unable to create new accounts or verify the existing one.
However, if you have a Windows device you need to worry not there is a simple way to save all your chats on December 31.
Open the chat you want to export and press the Group Info tab, scroll down and click on the “Export chat” tab and you will be presented with the option to download the chat with or without media.
WhatsApp is one of the most used messaging apps with around 1.5 billion active users around the world so this may come as an inconvenience for many as they will have to update their devices if they wish to use the app.
