50 Arrested As Anti-Netanyahu Protests Continue

TEHRAN:At least 50 people were reportedly arrested during the clashes with police during protests in Jerusalem al-Quds against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Police turned water cannons on demonstrators in Jerusalem al-Quds on Tuesday night, after clashes broke out at a protest calling for the resignation of Netanyahu.

Near Netanyahu’s official residence where the protests took place, police were seen restraining individual protesters and using physical force to control the crowd.

Netanyahu currently faces corruption charges and three indictments for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, and several protests in Tel Aviv and elsewhere have highlighted public disapproval for his management of the COVID-19 pandemic.
