RAWALPINDI: The world fame human rights activist, Abdul Sattar Edhi, would be laid to rest with full state honour and dignity, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
“Arrangements are being made for state funeral of late Edhi
Sahib,” Director General ISPR Lt Gen Asim Bajwa stated in a tweet on Saturday.
Security by Army, Rangers and Law Enforcement Agencies is being arranged at the funeral of the legendary human rights activist.
Gun salute will also be part of his funeral ceremony, he added.
Edhi breathed his last after protracted illness at hospital
in the Metropolitan city of Karachi late Friday.
