Saudi-backed troops suffer major setback as Ansarallah forces score big advance

SANA: The Ansarallah forces scored a big advance in southern and northern Yemen on Monday, as their troops captured several sites in Al-Bayda (south) and Marib (north).

According to the spokesperson for the Ansarallah-aligned Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’a, their troops began the day by capturing several sites in the Radman District of the Al-Bayda Governorate.

Following the advance in Al-Bayda, the Ansarallah forces were able to take control of several sites inside the Marib Governorate, putting their troops closer to the administrative capital.

“The the armed forces have cleared an area of 400 square kilometers in Al-Bayda and Marib,” Sare’a said, pointing out that there was “a massive collapse in its (Saudi-backed forces) ranks and daily casualties.”

He also touched on the issue of Yasser Al-Awadi, who is the Assistant Secretary-General of the General People’s Congress, saying that he “coordinated with the aggressor countries to get around our forces in the Radman Directorate,” adding that Al-Awadi “continued to be drawn into the plans of the aggression despite his warning and included mercenaries, including Takfiris and ISIS.”

He added: “The armed forces were able to monitor Al-Awadi’s activities, including the mobilization of mercenaries and their stationing in different regions,” noting that “Al-Awadi used the aggression countries that provided support with money, weapons, mercenaries and air support.”
